This is a webcam module which displays local webcam images inside an auto-refreshing popup window. The refresh period is variable. The module includes different options such as showing offline images and creating thumbnails. A graphical preview or a text link will be displayed inside a block if an up-to-date image is found. Visibility of the webcam image can be restricted by using Drupal's access control permissions. Additionally the webcam image is protected by a unique id, so if the image file is stored outside the document root, it is only visible via your drupal powered website.
It depends on your graphical toolkit which image types are supported; when using the standard GD2 toolkit, you can use JPG, GIF, PNG and WBMP files.
